New Stuff from WPPI

Check out my new camera!! It was a splurge at the WPPI conference in Vegas. I am so excited about this camera because of some awesome features that it has. The biggest one is that it can shoot at ISO 3200 with minimal noise. Now let me say that "noise" aka "grain" can be quite a beautiful thing in film, but in digital it just doesn't look that great. SOO I am way stoked about how smooth this camera's files are. AND the colors straight out of the camera a super snappy and vivid! I love that. AND it has an increased dynamic range giving the images a more "film like" look. It's awesome. It was worth every penny. In addition to my new camera I also got some great ideas from the WPPI tradeshow for some new products I will now be offering. Stay tuned to see pictures of the new guestbook albums, custom photo boxes, and designer matted albums I will soon be offering. You will love them!!

The Osmond Family

Look at this gorgeous family!! They made my job so easy;)

p.s. I am back from Vegas.

At Home with Brooke and Family

I just can't say enough great things about Brooke. She is my friend (and lives just around the corner from me) and she is the type of person that can make anyone smile (or laugh hysterically). Her portrait session was so nice and relaxed thanks to her super cool family. And her new little baby boy is sooo adorable. His chubbiness and all. I love the chubby ones!

At home portrait sessions can be such a relief from having to go to a studio (or on location). Especially with a new baby! If you are interested in having a super easy, and relaxed portrait session in the comfort of your own home, give me a call! Please remember that your home must be a VERY WELL LIT home for the results to turn out beautiful. By well lit, I mean lots of sunlight and lots of windows. And also remember that most home sessions are done in Black & White to minimize distracting colors and other things that can be distracting to the photographs.

Here's a few from Brooke's family portrait session....

Marc and Emily

Oh my! This shoot was SOO much fun. Marc and Emily are so fabulous! They really trust me and let me do my thing (which I appreciate so much). They are such fun people and I really enjoy myself when I'm around them. The first time we met we just clicked and I felt like we were old friends. During our shoot we just kind of walked around and talked and had fun. And then we'd stop every once in awhile and get some great shots. And what troopers. We shot for 2 hours (I'm forever grateful to you guys). My favorite is when I'd tell them to kiss and they would say "oh we are getting some scandalous shots." Hope Mom and Dad don't mind too much ;o) So anyways, check out a few of our scandalous shots. And our other ones too....

p.s. Thanks to Shannon of Lucky Red Hen for letting me borrow the ghetto RED chair.

You can't tell me this isn't the cutest outfit you've ever seen....

And the cutest little girl too! ;o)

MIA

Yes, I have been Missing In Action of late. Where have I been....well my little Violet has been deathly ill and on top of that I found myself in the hospital having emergency surgery. So it's been a crazy couple of weeks. I've spent this week getting lots of rest, taking lots of pills, and getting lots of help from friends and family. ANYWAYS, I am feeling great and I am back to start giving my neglected blog some love and attention!
